Phase 1 - Early Recovery
This phase will run for a period of three weeks and will consist of fund raisers and collection of donations which will be deposited into a centralized GoA account. At the end of this period, we will announce the amount of funds collected and those funds will then be distributed to:
- Red Cross ( IFRC/BRC/Jamaica - to be determined)
- The Rotaract club of Jamaica
- ADRA
- The Government of Jamaica
Phase 2 – In-Kind Contributions
Anguilla Red Cross Contributions
A) Tarpaulins, buckets, and shelter kits ready for contribution. Coordination with St. Maarten Red Cross to explore joint container shipment if CDEMA funding is unavailable.
B) Shipment and Relief Items
- Jamaica Website: Contains procedures for persons wishing to send personal items.
- Container Allocation: It will be decided later on the percentage allocation of the container space for various types of relief items.
- Collection Point: Suggested that Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Office can be a collection point. That will be confirmed. Anguilla Football Association dormitories may be available for temporary storage as a backup.
C) We will indicate in the publication clear opening and closing hours for receiving items – ADRA
D) Logistics and Storage
- On-Ground Support: When items arrive in Jamaica it was agreed that a familiar face should be present to receive and manage incoming items. Warren indicated he doesn’t mind being that person.
Phase 3
- Additional funding will be used to purchase items in Miami from funds raised by the Coordination committee.
- Civil Society will lead to coordinating and shipping items for individual family members. They will be guided by Jamaica’s procedures.
Container Contents
