Anguilla Passport Office

The Anguilla Passport Office issues the British Overseas Territory Passport according to the British Nationality Acts and Policies.

Requirements for applications

The basic documents that are needed with your application:

  • Birth Certificate (full birth certificate)
  • Adoption Certificate
  • Mother’s Birth Certificate – If the applicant was born after 31-Dec-1982 or born in St Kitts
  • Father’s Birth Certificate
  • Parents’ marriage certificate
  • Deed Poll
  • Naturalization/Registration Certificate & approval Letter (letters issued after Oct, 2022)     
  • British Registration Certificate 
  • Marriage Certificate
  • 2 recent Passport size Photos (off-white/light grey background)
  • Old/Current Passport
  • Copy of all Other Passports (Foreign and British Citizen)
    • All other requirements depend on your entitlement. Please contact our office for further information.
    • All documents must be original. Documents that are stained, tattered, taped, laminated and copied (unless stated otherwise) are not accepted.
    • Documents in a foreign language must be translated and certified.
    • Read the guidance notes carefully before completing the British overseas territory passport application. Applying for a passport from outside the UK - Helping you fill in the application form (gov.ai). A countersignature is not required for adult renewals who can be identified from their previous passport. 
    • You may be required to provide additional information to confirm entitlement and identity.
    • Incomplete applications may be returned, delayed or withdrawn.

 

Photo Requirements

We only accept recently taken photos. Passport photos must be taken within one month of submission. Photo guidance Passport Photograph Notes.pdf (gov.ai)

 

Lost or Stolen Passport Applications

In addition to entitlement and identity documents, all applicants must submit a police report and Lost or Stolen Notification form (gov.ai). These applications undergo additional examination and may take longer to complete.

 

Emergency Passports

Emergency passports are only issued to British overseas territory citizens on compassionate grounds (serious illness) and Government/National Business. The applicant must submit documentary evidence to verify their claim. The passport may not be issued where identity and eligibility are not established.

 

Name Alignment Policy

All applicants must declare all other uncancelled (valid and expired) foreign and British Citizen passports. The customer applying for the British overseas territory (Anguilla) passport must use the name they use for all purposes. We may not issue a passport to a customer if we cannot confirm that they have one name being used for all purposes.

 

Passport Collection

Applicants should collect their own passports. Parents or someone with parental responsibility must collect the passports of minors.

 An applicant may appoint someone to collect his/her passport and documents on his/her behalf. The authorisation must be in the form of a standard letter with the applicant’s wet signature affixed. The person collecting the passport and documents on behalf of the applicant must present government identification upon collection.

Upon collecting the passport, the customer should ensure that the details are correct and that they have retrieved all relevant documents. Our office will not be liable for any claims after the collection period.

Fees

The Fees for a British Overseas Territory Citizen Passport are as follows:

  • Adult passport (age 16 and over) - $200.00EC
  • Children passport (under age 16) - $150.00EC
  • Emergency passport (Same as stated above)

Customers are advised not to book any travel until they have received their passport.
