The Government of Anguilla has decided to establish the Anguilla Air and Sea Ports Authority as a semi autonomous self-sustaining entity to manage the operations of the air and sea ports on a commercial basis.
The Airport and Seaports Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure manages the commercial ports in Anguilla at present.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Anguilla Air and Sea Ports Authority. The selected person should have professional training preferably at the Masters level from a recognized institution in one of the following disciplines; (a) Civil Aviation Airport Management, (b) Ports Management (c) Finance, Business Administration or Accounting or (d) Management. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of fifteen years experience at a senior management level in business or a port environment.
The Board of the new Authority and the new legislation has been brought into effect. The Authority is expected to begin full operations by January 2010. The appointment will be on contract for a period of two or three years following a three month probationary period. Renewal of the contract would be by agreement.
